Cole's First Halloween

Well today is Cole's first Halloween. I never thought he would be participating in Halloween this year - I had envisioned handing out candy at the door dressed as a 9 month pregnant woman (hehehe - no costume necessary). But here we are with a bouncing 2 week old. So Cory and I went last weekend and browsed the preemie costumes and came up with the baby Jack-O-Lantern and the baby ghost. I went ahead and dressed him in the Jack-O-Lantern for the day so I'm posting those pics now. This afternoon we are going to take him up to Cory's office and so he'll change into his fresh ghost costume for his first Halloween "party". I'll post those pics when we get home so you'll get the full fashion show! Hope everyone has a very festive day and a night full of darling trick-or-treaters!

Labor of Love

Well mom left yesterday. We were pretty sad to see her go but are looking forward to multiple visits over the holidays. And I will continue to bug Cory to move closer to our families so maybe some day! Anyway, the subject of this blog is not that mom left but that she completed Cole's quilt while she is here and he is loving it! So I took a few pics. It is just beautiful and has all the fabrics from his nursery, some from my college curtains, various clothes and projects from the sisters and I, some fabrics that reminded us of Cory and a backing that mom found in Grandma's fabrics! So we love the meaning and the love that went into it and Cole loves the warmth!

Cole's First Bath

Some of you have already seen this but I figured I should post it anyway. We gave Cole his first bath on Friday. Dad did the honors and he posted the video to Utube so here are just a few pics.

Cole Allen Hohweiler is here!

He arrived at 4:59am on October 18,2008 and he is beautiful! He was 6 pounds, 15 ounces and 19 and 1/2 inches long and as he approaches 10 days hold we think he is getting close to that weight again. We have just been having a wonderful time with him. Mom is here and Cory was home all last week so the three of us sat around and held him all week long and whoever wasn't holding him took pictures! haha! So here are just a few, hope you enjoy!

My First Post

In preparation for Cole Allen Hohweiler I have finally created a blog! I decided that this might be the best avenue for daily updates and pictures and I'm hoping the friends and family that are geographically far away but close to our hearts will enjoy. So I'm going to make this post short since it is my "practice run" but expect more interesting info later!
